How to become
There are many routes into finance work. There are no set entry requirements to become a Debt Advisor however many employers will expect a good standard of English, maths and IT skills.
You may need GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and maths. You could undertake on the job training in the form of an apprenticeship or gain higher level qualifications like an undergraduate degree.
It is important to check your preferred employer's entry requirements for guidance.
It is good practice to be registered with the Institute of Money Advisers, for professional recognition, training opportunities and to make industry contacts.
